59onlast: Central brand new studio!

Positive: Good location for car-based exploration. A secure garage was a bonus. There is much to see and do nearby, with plenty of cafes and restaurants (although our room did have cooking facilities). The bathroom was a good size and the shower excellent. Negative: It was tricky watching the television without looking directly into a stream of air from the heating/cooling unit. We had two small dogs from an adjacent unit bark continuously while their owners were absent. The unit is not particularly sound-proof: our upstairs neighbours could be easily heard walking around. At 6:30 am it was one group awake, all groups awake!

Silence of the landlord… very interesting my dear Watson Positive: Comfortable, cosy, well equipped and suitably able to be heated for the cold night. A half share of a large double garage was welcome together with the use of a washing machine & dryer Negative: I believe the owner is part of the witness protection programme as the communication was gender neutral and anonymous even though an unidentified fellow burst through an outer front door as I was leaving without uttering a word. Or perhaps I have read too many murder mysteries recently?

Modern studio/room attached to townhouse on edge of town Positive: The property was very clean, modern and new and in a quiet location on the edge of town. Negative: We didn’t like that the studio room shared an entrance hall with the neighbouring townhouse. We could hear them walking up and down their wooden stairs and their dogs barked continuously until they arrived home. There was no tea towels to dry dishes.

Positive: new, clean and comfortable.
